Lamaila i Książę Nocy

Libretto tego czarodziejskiego baletu napisała Liwia Pawłowska, muzykę z kolei skomponował Maciej Pawłowski. Historia mówi o wydarzeniach dziejących się w Krainie Dnia i Nocy, gdzie główna bohaterka, Księżniczka Dnia – tytułowa Lamaila – zostaje nagle w środku nocy obudzona przez śmiesznego stwora mieszkającego w głębinach bagna – Mr. Gulgacza.

Lamaila dzięki pełni księżyca... zakochuje się w Księciu Nocy – Namadilu. Kiedy wszyscy są pewni, że ta para nigdy się już nie spotka, wydarzenia przybierają nieoczekiwany obrót.

Muzyka utrzymana jest w disney'owskim stylu, z dużą ilością pięknych melodii. Znaczna część materiału muzycznego została zinstrumentowana przez samego mistrza gatunku, najbardziej znanego w Polsce kompozytora muzyki baletowej – Bogdana Pawłowskiego, którego "Królewna Śnieżka" od 40 lat święci triumfy na scenie Teatru Wielkiego w Łodzi. I wszystko wskazuje na to, że "Lamaila" może zdetronizować „królową" pod względem popularności.

The libretto of this magical ballet has been written by Liwia Pawłowska and its music composed by Maciej Pawłowski. The story is about events taking place in the Land of Day and Night, where the heroine, the Princess of the Day – Lamaila – is suddenly awakened in the middle of the night by a funny creature living in the depths of a swamp – Mr. Glugger.  Lamaila, thanks to the full moon... falls in love with the Prince of the Night – Namadil. When everyone is certain that the pair will never meet, the events take an unexpected turn.

The music is kept in a Disney-like style, with many beautiful melodies. A large part of the music material has been instrumented by the master of the genre himself, the most well-known composer of ballet music in Poland – Bogdan Pawłowski, whose Snow White has been played with huge success on the stage of The Grand Theatre in Lodz for the past 40 years. And it all points to the possibility that Lamaila might dethrone that „queen" as far as popularity goes.
